![]() ![]() One girl on the beach started braiding my daughters hair after I said I had no cash on me (she said it was free then wanted 40 dollars for 5 half braids). Some vendors on the beach and on the resort (Thursday) were also hard to take. The small cons were. The VIP vacation club hard sell was a bit annoying.we had it for 3 straight days before he eventually gave up. ![]() The a la carte restaurants were decent.nothing spectacular but nothing horrible either (Spice was our favorite). The staff overall was top notch.special mentions to Simon at the Splash Bar, and to servers Jefrey, Danny and Miguel all of whom kept our drinks full.they were awesome! The buffet was decent for breakfast and just average for dinner. We bumped into him often and he always asked how our stay was and if there was anything he could do for us, room wise, restaurant wise etc. Upon arrival we met Angel our butler who was simply fantastic, he helped us out with anything we needed from arrival to departure. Bar fridge was always stocked and even included chocolate bars and Pringles (also tipped). We tipped maid staff and room was cleaned usually before noon. The room had a slight musty smell but far from a vacation ruin-er.we ran the air-conditioner 24-7 and hung a lavender scented Damprid. The swim-out room I would highly recommend if traveling with kids. The lower pool area was never packed even on the Easter weekend when to resort was full. The main pool is coolish but temp is a non-factor given the daily temps.I would say the pool is quite refreshing. We stayed March 25 to April 1 - Preferred Swim-out room (5154) First off the grounds and property.possibly the cleanest and nicest resort I've stayed at, including grounds, pools and beach. ![]()
